40 YEARS IN THE MAKING
Since 1984, Polaris has been making cycling kit for people who ride. We started with gear tested by real riders on real terrain and that obsession with detail has never changed. We also ran the Polaris Challenge for years. We were part of British cycling.
And then we weren’t. There were a couple of years where we genuinely weren’t great, embarrassingly bad, but that knowledge, all those rides, all that learning, it didn’t go anywhere.
We could have started a new brand. It would’ve been easier but we didn’t. We believed in what old Polaris stands for: making great kit for everyone, no hype, no pretension. So in 2023, we bought Polaris back out of administration and three years later, we’re releasing kit we’re actually proud of.
It took time. There were false dawns, prototypes that looked right but rode wrong, finishes that didn’t hold up. We kept going until everything answered yes and now it’s the only thing we reach for when we’re out riding.
Four decades of cycling experience. Three years to get it right. We hope you love it as much as we do.
